1. Our Commitment to Trust & Safety

Funtoosh believes trust is essential for anonymous communication. This Trust & Safety page explains how we keep our community safe while preserving anonymity between users and giving you control over your data. We invest in safety tools, content moderation for reported content, abuse detection, spam detection, fraud prevention, and security monitoring, per Safety Policy, Content Policy, and Transparency Page.

2. Safety Tools

Blocking Users

Block in one tap: Long-press message → Block. Blocked user cannot message, tip, or discover you. Blocking is immediate, reversible via Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.

Reporting Users

Report in one tap: Long-press → Report → Select reason (harassment, spam, fraud, child safety, privacy violation, etc.). Reports trigger content moderation review within 4 hours for safety, 24 hours for others, per Safety Policy.

Additional Tools

• Disappearing messages: 10 seconds to 30 days, default 24 hours, for privacy protection.
• Hide from discovery: Settings → Privacy → Disable discovery to prevent strangers finding you.
• DM filters: Unknown senders to requests folder, reducing unwanted anonymous messages.
• Wallet limits: Daily tip and paid messaging caps to prevent financial pressure.
• Screenshot alerts: Notify sender when screenshot detected where OS allows.
• Keyword filters: For creators, filter incoming messages containing specified keywords.

3. Content Moderation

We do not routinely read private conversations. Automated filters and human review are applied for:

• Reported messages and profiles via in-app report, [email protected], or [email protected].
• Public discovery profiles and internal advertisements marked Sponsored.
• Automated spam detection and abuse detection on metadata only, not message content, preserving encryption.

Actions: warning, temporary mute, discovery removal, suspension, or permanent ban per Account Suspension & Termination Policy. Appeals within 30 days via [email protected], separate team reviews per Transparency commitments.

4. Abuse & Fraud Prevention

• Abuse detection: Heuristics on frequency, not content, due to encryption.
• Spam detection: Rate limiting 20 new conversations/hour for new accounts, 100/day, plus community reports per Anti-Spam Policy.
• Fraud prevention: Anomaly detection for wallet recharge, paid messaging, tips, chargeback abuse, tip farming, per Wallet Policy and Payment Terms.
• Security monitoring: 24/7 monitoring for unusual login, wallet, and messaging patterns, privacy-preserving.

5. Privacy & Security

• Anonymous Messaging: Pseudonymous, no phone required, Email OTP login 5-min expiry, rate-limited.
• Encryption: HTTPS/TLS in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest on our database provider. Not end-to-end encrypted.
• Logging: operational, security and moderation logs are kept for the periods in the Data Retention Policy. No behavioural profiling or advertising trackers.
• Secure Cookies: HttpOnly, Secure on HTTPS, SameSite Lax, future JWT ready.
• Privacy Protection: Essential cookies only, no tracking, per Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.

6. Minors Safety

Funtoosh is 18+ only (under the DPDP Act 2023, under-18s are Children and we do not knowingly operate accounts for them). Safeguards:

• Age-gating at signup (18+); under-18 accounts are removed promptly on notice.
• Zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors, grooming, sexualization — immediate permanent ban and legal report to NCMEC and local authorities.
• Proactive age-gating heuristics on-device, privacy-preserving, no content scanning.

7. Creator Safety

Creators monetizing via wallet recharge, paid messaging, and premium features have additional tools:

• Transparent pricing in profile, boundaries setting, response time expectations.
• Paid DMs to reduce spam, keyword filters, auto-block list import/export.
• No financial coercion: “tip or I will leak” is extortion → permanent ban per Safety Policy and Community Guidelines.
• Creator Tools: Analytics, audience insights, monetization dashboard (internal advertisements for Creator Tools marked Sponsored).

8. Transparency

We publish transparency commitments via Transparency Page:

• Content moderation actions logged anonymously (reason, count, not content) per Transparency Page.
• Account actions (warnings, suspensions) aggregated without identifying users.
• User reports handling: SLA 4 hours safety, 24 hours others.
• Future transparency reports semi-annually: enforcement numbers, government requests where legally allowed to disclose.

9. User Responsibilities

• Use safety tools proactively: block, report, hide from discovery, set wallet limits.
• Respect privacy and anonymity; do not attempt to de-anonymize, dox, or collect personal data.
• Report violations via in-app reporting, not public shaming, for effective moderation.
• Follow Community Guidelines, Content Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, User Conduct Policy, Anti-Spam Policy.

10. Platform Responsibilities

• Provide safety tools, content moderation for reported content, abuse detection, spam detection, fraud prevention, security monitoring while preserving encryption.
• Maintain trained moderation team, trauma-informed practices, and separate appeal team per Transparency commitments.
• Educate via Security Page, Privacy Policy, and How Funtoosh Works.
• Cooperate with law enforcement where legally required, preserving encryption where possible, per Privacy Policy and Transparency Page.
