Is Funtoosh really anonymous?

Your answers, confessions and chats are anonymous to the other person — they cannot see who wrote them unless you reveal yourself. Your account is not anonymous to us: you sign in with email or Google, and like any hosted service we keep operational logs.

Asking questions, answering and posting confessions are free. Paid chats, audio and video calls and Golden Cards are charged from your INR wallet at the rate the creator sets. Rates are not fixed — they can change — and the exact amount is always shown before you confirm a payment.

How do I get the Android app?

The Funtoosh Android app is distributed directly from funtoosh.online, not from the Play Store. The download page will go live with the signed APK shortly. Until then Funtoosh works fully in any mobile browser.

Golden Card is a paid offer sent inside an anonymous chat to reveal identities to each other. It only works if both people accept — if either side declines, nothing is revealed and the offer is refunded as per the Wallet Policy.

How does the wallet work?

Recharge in INR with UPI, cards or netbanking. The balance pays for chats, calls, Golden Cards, Plus and shop orders. Creators earn into the same wallet and can withdraw to their bank account after KYC, as described in the Wallet Policy.

What is Funtoosh Plus?

Funtoosh Plus is a monthly subscription that adds perks like more Cross Finger requests, shorter cooldowns and a PRO badge. The current price and full perk list are shown inside the app on the Plus page.

We envision a world where private conversation is a default, not a luxury. In an era of surveillance capitalism, data brokers, and phone-number-based identity, Funtoosh offers an alternative: an anonymous Q&A, confession and chat platform where you control your identity, your data, and your boundaries. Our vision is to become the most trusted anonymous communication layer for the next billion users, starting in India and scaling globally.

2. Mission

Our mission is to provide a secure, beautiful place to ask and answer without a phone number. We do this with email + password or Google sign-in, HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest on our database, a user wallet for the creator economy, and internal text-based advertisements that carry no third-party trackers. Funtoosh is not end-to-end encrypted and does keep operational logs — see the Transparency Report for what we can and cannot see.

3. Privacy-First Approach

Privacy is not a setting or toggle; it is the default architecture:

No phone required: Username is your identity, authenticated via email + password or Google, no SIM verification.
No advertising trackers: No Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no behavioural profiling, essential cookies only per Cookie Policy. We do keep operational and security logs.
Encryption: HTTPS/TLS for everything in transit and encryption at rest on our database provider. Funtoosh is not end-to-end encrypted: we hold the keys and can read content when the law or a report requires it.
Data minimization: We collect only what the service needs — email, name, username, date of birth (18+), gender, city, your content and wallet records; KYC and delivery details only if you withdraw or order — per the Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy.
User control: Blocking, reporting, message requests, chat lock PIN, Cross Finger off-switch, wallet PIN and limits.

4. Anonymous Communication Philosophy

Anonymity, when designed responsibly, enables authenticity, vulnerability, and freedom from judgment. Funtoosh believes anonymous messaging should be safe, respectful, and consensual. Our Community Guidelines, User Conduct Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Content Policy, and Safety Policy ensure that anonymity empowers, not endangers.

Anonymous does not mean consequence-free: harassment, doxing, and fraud lead to suspension per Account Suspension Policy.
Consent matters: you see and confirm every rate before a paid message, call or Golden Card; identities are revealed only when both sides agree.
Respect over anonymity: behind every anon username is a human.

Anonymous Q&A & Confessions: Ask anyone anonymously, answer publicly, post confessions to a public feed with reactions and paid suggestions.
Chat & Calls: One-to-one chat with images, message requests and per-chat lock PIN; per-minute audio and video calls at the creator's rate.
Golden Card & Cross Finger: A paid, refundable request to reveal identities to each other; a free anonymous interest match.
Sign-In & Security: Email and password or one-click Google, optional authenticator (TOTP) two-factor, and biometric wallet unlock.
User Profiles: Username, display name, bio, avatar, city, verification tick (admin-reviewed), blocking and reporting.
User Wallet: INR recharge via UPI, cards and net banking (Cashfree, Razorpay, PayU); paid chat, calls and Golden Cards at creator-set rates; platform commission (default 50%, per-creator adjustable); KYC, 5% withdrawal fee and TDS; withdrawals to UPI/bank.
Funtoosh Plus, Ads & Shop: Monthly Plus membership; member-bought Sponsored placements reviewed by the team; official Funtoosh merchandise. No Google Ads or third-party trackers.
Content Moderation: Report-based moderation for abusive content, spam detection, abuse detection, fraud prevention.

Not available

End-to-end encryption, disappearing messages and screenshot alerts are not features of Funtoosh. Chats are encrypted in transit and at rest, and Funtoosh holds the keys.
Group chats, tips and international payments are not offered today.

6. Design Philosophy

We obsess over details. Inspired by the best consumer apps — clear typography, fast interactions, honest copy. Our system uses Cobalt #2547D0 for brand actions (Signature Gold #F59E0B is reserved for the wordmark), Obsidian #070C1A and Slate #0F172A for dark surfaces, and Porcelain #F8FAFC with White for light surfaces. Premium rounded corners, soft shadows, 60 FPS animations, GPU acceleration, compact spacing, and instant light/dark switching keep the experience focused and consistent.

7. Security

Security is detailed at /security: HTTPS/TLS with HSTS, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, optional TOTP two-factor, wallet PIN with optional biometric unlock, HttpOnly SameSite Lax session cookies (90 days), rate limits, audit logs, responsible disclosure, and user safety education via Trust & Safety.

8. Made in India

Funtoosh is built and operated from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh by Bhavyahaan Technology. The interface is available in English and Hindi with a one-tap switch. Prices are in Indian Rupees and payments run through Indian gateways. The service is designed for the DPDP Act, 2023 and the IT Act, 2000; our servers are hosted in the European Union, as disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

11. Definitions

Anonymous Q&A / Chat: Pseudonymous communication without a phone number, via email + password or Google sign-in. Your identity is hidden from other users, not from Funtoosh.
User Wallet: Prepaid INR ledger for recharge, paid chat, calls, Golden Cards, Plus, ads and shop, with a platform commission on earnings (default 50%).
Funtoosh Plus: Optional monthly membership with perks shown on the Plus page.
Advertisements: Member-bought placements marked Sponsored and reviewed by the Funtoosh team.
Privacy Protection: No advertising trackers, essential cookies only, data minimisation, and blocking and reporting features.

12. User Responsibilities

Use Funtoosh for lawful, respectful, consensual purposes per Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy.
Keep your password, 2FA codes and wallet PIN secure, respect anonymity, use blocking and reporting for safety.
Understand wallet recharge, paid chat, calls, Golden Card and Funtoosh Plus per the Wallet Policy and Payment Terms.
Provide accurate information for wallet payouts where KYC required and respect intellectual property.

13. Platform Responsibilities

Provide anonymous messaging, secure sign-in, the wallet, privacy protection, security monitoring, content moderation for reported content, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and spam detection.
Maintain transparent policies, Trust & Safety, Transparency Page, and clear communication about vision and roadmap.
Offer dark and light mode, full mobile responsiveness, a native Android app, and accessibility.
Support the platform in English and Hindi with inclusive design.

Statutory timelines we work to: acknowledgement within 24 hours; disposal within 15 days; prohibited content under Rule 3(2)(b) within 72 hours; non-consensual sexually explicit or morphed content under Rule 4(1)(p) within 24 hours; court or government orders under Rule 3(1)(d) within 36 hours. Removed content and the associated records are retained for 180 days for investigation purposes. These are the limits set by law for us to act within; they are not a guarantee of any particular outcome on any particular report.

Before we remove or disable content on our own initiative, Rule 4(8) requires us to notify you with reasons and give you a reasonable opportunity to dispute it. Automated tools may flag content, but a human reviews before any account-level action is taken. See the Transparency Report.

Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

Notice and consent (§5): we tell you what we collect and why before you agree, and you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings.
Purpose limitation (§4, §6): your data is used only for running Funtoosh, safety, payments and legal obligations — never sold, never used to build advertising profiles.
Access and correction (§11): you can view and correct your profile data in Settings.
Erasure (§12): you can delete your account from Settings → Account. See Data Retention for what the law requires us to keep afterwards, and for how long.
Retention limit (§8(7)): we erase personal data once the purpose it was collected for is over, unless a law requires us to keep it.

Age: Funtoosh is for users aged 18 and over. Under the DPDP Act 2023 a person under 18 is a Child and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
