Safety Policy

Anonymous, but never unsafe. Tools, education, and rapid response for private messaging.

Effective: August 19, 2026Last updated: August 19, 2026Encrypted in transit & at rest

1. Commitment to Safety

Funtoosh believes anonymity should empower, not endanger. We invest in safety tools, automated filters and human review to keep our community safe while protecting your privacy. This policy aligns with IT Act, DPDP Act principles, and international safety practices.

2. Definitions

  • Blocking Users: Preventing a user from messaging, tipping, or discovering you.
  • Reporting Users: Flagging content or behavior for review via Safety Policy and Content Policy.
  • Content Moderation: Review of reported content for violations of Community Guidelines, User Conduct Policy, and Safety Policy.
  • Abuse Detection: Automated systems detecting harassment, spam, fraud, and child safety risks.

3. Safety Tools

For Everyone

  • Block & Report in 1 tap: Long-press message → Block + select reason → optional report.
  • Disappearing messages: Default 24 hours, configurable 10 seconds to 30 days for privacy protection.
  • Hide from discovery: Settings → Privacy → Disable profile discovery to prevent strangers finding your User Profiles.
  • Screenshot alert: Notify sender when screenshot detected where OS allows, enhancing privacy.
  • DM filters: Filter unknown senders to requests folder, reducing unwanted paid messaging.
  • Wallet limits: Daily tip limits and paid messaging caps to prevent financial pressure and fraud.

For Creators

  • Keyword filters for incoming anonymous messages.
  • Auto-block list import/export for repeat abusers.
  • Paid DMs to reduce spam and enable premium features monetization.

4. Blocking & Reporting

Blocking is immediate and prevents:

  • Anonymous messaging from blocked user
  • Tips, wallet recharge interactions, and paid messaging
  • Discovery in user profiles and advertisements

Reporting triggers content moderation review within 4 hours for safety-related reports, 24 hours for others, per Transparency Page commitments.

5. Minors Protection

Funtoosh is 18+ only. Under the DPDP Act 2023 a person under 18 is a Child and we do not knowingly operate accounts for children. Additional safeguards:

  • Age-gating at signup (18+); accounts found to be under 18 are removed promptly.
  • No wallet payouts for anyone under 18 — such accounts are removed, not paid out.
  • Proactive age-gating heuristics on-device, privacy-preserving, no content scanning.
  • Zero tolerance for sexual content involving minors, grooming, sexualization — immediate permanent ban and legal report to NCMEC and local authorities where required.

6. Content Moderation

We moderate based on user reports and automated filter matches, not on routine reading of private conversations. Process:

  1. User reports via in-app or [email protected] or /grievance-redressal.
  2. Trained moderator reviews reported content against Content Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, User Conduct Policy.
  3. Action: warning, temporary mute, discovery removal, suspension, or permanent ban per Account Suspension & Termination Policy.
  4. Appeal available within 30 days via support.

7. Enforcement

  • Warning → Temporary mute 24h-7d → Suspension → Permanent ban for repeat or severe violations.
  • Severe violations (CSAM, threats, dox, fraud) → immediate permanent ban, no appeal for child safety.
  • Transparency: Enforcement actions logged anonymously in Transparency Page reports.
