Community Guidelines

Building a respectful, safe, private anonymous community worldwide. Anonymous does not mean disrespectful.

Effective: July 31, 2026Last updated: July 31, 2026Encrypted in transit & at rest

1. Core Principles

  1. Privacy is a right: Protect your own and others privacy, use blocking and reporting for unwanted interactions.
  2. Consent matters: Anonymous still requires consent for intimate, financial, or personal topics, including paid messaging.
  3. Respect over anonymity: Behind every anon username is a human with dignity.
  4. Safety first: Use safety tools, read Safety Policy, Trust & Safety, and Security Page.

2. Definitions

  • Anonymous Messaging: Pseudonymous communication without phone number, via Email OTP login.
  • User Profiles: Public or discovery-opt-in profiles with bio, avatar, interests.
  • Blocking Users: Preventing interaction, tipping, and discovery.
  • Reporting Users: Flagging violations for content moderation.
  • Paid Messaging: Creator-monetized DMs via User Wallet.
  • Advertisements: Internal text-based promos marked Sponsored.

3. Be Respectful

Do

  • Be kind, even when disagreeing; use disappearing messages for sensitive topics.
  • Ask before escalating conversation depth or requesting personal information.
  • Use anonymous compliments feature for positivity.

Do Not

  • Hate speech, slurs targeting protected characteristics, dehumanization.
  • Harassment, stalking, repeated unwanted contact after block, doxing.
  • Threats, incitement to violence, encouragement of self-harm — report immediately per Safety Policy.

4. Respect Privacy & Anonymity

  • Never share others phone, address, workplace, real name, or school without consent (doxing prohibited) per Content Policy and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • No IP grabbing, location tracking, or attempt to de-anonymize via technical means — triggers security monitoring and suspension.
  • Do not screenshot and share private conversations without consent; screenshot alert exists for awareness.
  • Respect Email OTP login privacy — do not request OTP from others or attempt account takeover.

5. Be Authentic

  • No impersonation of real persons, brands, celebrities, or Funtoosh staff, or using official badges without authorization.
  • No catfishing: If you use AI-generated photos, disclose when directly asked about authenticity.
  • One primary account; up to 2 additional personas allowed for privacy, but must not be used to evade blocks, bans, or spam detection (ban evasion violates Account Suspension Policy).
  • No selling, buying, or trading accounts or wallet balances.

6. Content Standards

All content, including anonymous messages, profile bios, and paid messages, must comply with Content Policy, Intellectual Property Policy, and Anti-Spam Policy.

  • No sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual solicitation where prohibited.
  • No illegal goods, drugs, weapons, or instructions for wrongdoing.
  • No copyrighted material without permission per Copyright Policy and Intellectual Property Policy.
  • No misinformation that causes imminent harm, fraud, or financial scams — triggers fraud prevention.

7. Safety First

  • If conversation makes you uncomfortable, block and report immediately.
  • Use wallet limits and paid DMs to filter unwanted interactions and prevent financial pressure.
  • For minors, additional restrictions per Safety Policy and Trust & Safety.
  • Use Security Page guidance for device and account protection.

8. Creator Guidelines

Creators monetizing via wallet recharge, paid messaging, and premium features must:

  • Clearly state what tip or paid message includes and excludes — no bait-and-switch per Payment Terms.
  • Set boundaries: response time, content types you will not provide, and wallet limits.
  • No financial coercion: “tip or I will leak” is extortion → permanent ban per Safety Policy and Account Suspension Policy.
  • Transparent pricing: If you charge for DMs, state price upfront in profile.
  • Respect blocking: Do not create alternate accounts to contact blocked users.

9. Advertisements & Spam

Funtoosh internal advertisements (Upgrade to Premium, Invite Friends, Creator Tools) are marked Sponsored and controlled via future admin panel. User-posted advertisements are not allowed except via approved creator tools. Spam is prohibited per Anti-Spam Policy, including unsolicited bulk anonymous messages, wallet spam, and discovery spam.

10. Enforcement & Appeals

Violations may result in content removal, warning, temporary mute, discovery removal, suspension, or permanent ban per Account Suspension & Termination Policy and Transparency Page. Appeals via [email protected] with case ID within 30 days, reviewed by separate team for fairness.

11. User Responsibilities

  • Follow all policies: Content Policy, Acceptable Use, User Conduct, Anti-Spam, Intellectual Property.
  • Use blocking and reporting features responsibly for safety and privacy protection.
  • Maintain accurate account information for wallet payouts where KYC required.
  • Understand anonymous messaging is not absolute anonymity against advanced adversaries; follow Security Page guidance.

12. Platform Responsibilities

  • Provide safety tools: blocking users, reporting users, content moderation for reported content, spam detection, abuse detection, fraud prevention, security monitoring.
  • Maintain Trust & Safety and Transparency commitments, including enforcement logs.
  • Provide premium international SaaS experience with privacy protection.
