Is Funtoosh really anonymous?

Your answers are anonymous to the person who asked — they cannot see who replied unless you reveal yourself. Your account is not anonymous to us: you sign in with email or Google, and like any hosted service we keep operational logs. Funtoosh is not end-to-end encrypted.

Which languages are supported?

Funtoosh is fully translated into 8 languages today: English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Japanese, and Portuguese. More are on the way.

We use TLS for data in transit, encryption at rest with our database provider, strict content-security headers, XSS protection, secure cookies, and internal access limited to the staff who need it.

Intellectual Property Policy | Funtoosh

1. Introduction

Funtoosh values original creation and respects intellectual property rights under Indian and international law. This Intellectual Property Policy explains ownership, permitted uses, and enforcement for anonymous messaging, user profiles, wallet content, advertisements, and landing page design. It complements Copyright Policy, Content Policy, and Terms of Service.

2. Definitions

Intellectual Property (IP): Copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, and related rights.
User Content: Messages, media, bios, and other material you create via anonymous messaging.
Platform Content: Funtoosh branding, UI, advertisements, policy documents, and landing page premium design.
Trademark: Logos, brand names, and trade dress identifying source.

3. Ownership

You retain ownership of your user content. Funtoosh retains ownership of platform content, including anonymous messaging UI, Email OTP login flow, user wallet UI, advertisement carousel design, and premium landing page. No transfer of ownership occurs by using the Platform.

4. Copyright

Do not share copyrighted music, movies, books, software, or images without permission or license.
Short quotations with attribution may be fair use/fair dealing, but entire works are not.
We respond to valid DMCA notices per Copyright Policy: [email protected], 3 business days review.
Repeat infringers face suspension per Account Suspension & Termination Policy.

5. Trademarks

Funtoosh, its logo, and "PRIVATE • GLOBAL" are trademarks of Funtoosh Private Technologies.
Do not use our trademarks in a way that causes confusion, impersonation, or implies endorsement without permission.
Nominative fair use (mentioning brand for commentary) is permitted, but not as your username or avatar to impersonate.
Report trademark misuse via [email protected] and Intellectual Property Policy process.

6. User Content License

To operate anonymous messaging, you grant Funtoosh a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to relay, display, and temporarily store encrypted content for delivery, and to display public profile where you opt-in to discovery. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in the Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

7. Platform Content Protection

Platform content, including landing page sections (Hero, Features, How It Works, Why Funtoosh, Statistics, App Screens, FAQ, Contact, Footer), advertisement carousel design, and policy documents, is protected by copyright and trade dress. Do not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without permission. Premium UI (glassmorphism, soft shadows, rounded corners, typography) is part of protected trade dress.

8. DMCA, IT Act & Enforcement

We comply with IT Act, DPDP Act, and US DMCA where applicable. Process:

Complainant sends notice to [email protected] with contact, work description, location (username, message ID, timestamp), good faith statement, signature.
We review within 3 business days and remove/restrict if valid.
Counter-notice: If removal was mistake, send counter-notice with identification, statement, jurisdiction consent, signature. We forward and restore in 10-14 business days unless legal action filed.
Transparency: Actions logged anonymously in Transparency Page.

9. User Responsibilities

Only share content you own or have permission to share; respect Funtoosh branding and do not copy landing page or advertisements.
Use reporting users feature for IP violations, not public shaming.
Understand blocking users prevents further IP misuse toward you.
Keep Email OTP secure and respect others IP in paid messaging and wallet interactions.

10. Platform Responsibilities

Provide clear Copyright Policy, Intellectual Property Policy, DMCA process, and respond within stated timelines.
Maintain content moderation for reported IP violations, fraud prevention, and transparency via Transparency Page.
Educate via Trust & Safety about IP respect in anonymous messaging and creator economy.

Statutory timelines we work to: acknowledgement within 24 hours; disposal within 15 days; prohibited content under Rule 3(2)(b) within 72 hours; non-consensual sexually explicit or morphed content under Rule 4(1)(p) within 24 hours; court or government orders under Rule 3(1)(d) within 36 hours. Removed content and the associated records are retained for 180 days for investigation purposes. These are the limits set by law for us to act within; they are not a guarantee of any particular outcome on any particular report.

Before we remove or disable content on our own initiative, Rule 4(8) requires us to notify you with reasons and give you a reasonable opportunity to dispute it. Automated tools may flag content, but a human reviews before any account-level action is taken. See the Transparency Report.

Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

Notice and consent (§5): we tell you what we collect and why before you agree, and you can withdraw consent at any time in Settings.
Purpose limitation (§4, §6): your data is used only for running Funtoosh, safety, payments and legal obligations — never sold, never used to build advertising profiles.
Access and correction (§11): you can view and correct your profile data in Settings.
Erasure (§12): you can delete your account from Settings → Account. See Data Retention for what the law requires us to keep afterwards, and for how long.
Retention limit (§8(7)): we erase personal data once the purpose it was collected for is over, unless a law requires us to keep it.
Grievance redressal (§13): write to the officer named above, or use Grievance Redressal. Unsatisfied with the decision? Appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days. Data protection queries: [email protected].

Age: Funtoosh is for users aged 18 and over. Under the DPDP Act 2023 a person under 18 is a Child and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
