How Funtoosh Works

1. Overview

Funtoosh is a premium international anonymous messaging platform where you communicate via pseudonymous usernames without phone number, authenticated with email + password or Google sign-in. This guide explains how anonymous messaging, user wallet, wallet recharge, paid messaging, premium features, internal advertisements, user profiles, blocking users, reporting users, content moderation, and safety work together to provide private, respectful, and secure communication.

2. Anonymous Messaging

Anonymous messaging is pseudonymous: you choose a username, not your real name, and no phone number is required.

• Encrypted in transit and at rest: HTTPS/TLS on every connection and AES-256 at rest on our database. Funtoosh is not end-to-end encrypted — we hold the keys.
• Disappearing Messages: Default 24 hours, configurable 10 seconds to 30 days, auto-wiped locally and from relay queue.
• DM Filters: Unknown senders go to requests folder, reducing unwanted messages.
• Screenshot Alerts: Notify sender when screenshot detected where OS allows, enhancing privacy protection.
• Rate Limits: New accounts limited to 20 new conversations per hour, 100 per day to prevent spam, per Anti-Spam Policy and spam detection.

3. Sign-In & Account Security

• How you sign in: Email + password, or one-click Google sign-in. No phone number, SMS, or email codes are used. No email OTP is sent at all.
• Signup: Enter Full Name, Email and a password (or sign up with Google). You start without the profile verification tick — that stays a separate, admin-reviewed process.
• Email tick: Signing in with Google proves you own the address and puts a tick next to your email (visible in Settings → Email). It is independent of the profile verification tick.
• Two-factor (2FA): Optional TOTP authenticator app (Google Authenticator) as a second step at login, with one-time backup codes shown once when you enable it.
• Password reset / change: Done from Settings (or the sign-in page) by signing in with Google on the same email, then confirming with your 2FA code. No email codes.
• Wallet PIN: Your wallet spend PIN is protected by your account password (or 2FA code for Google-only accounts).
• Session: Secure cookies HttpOnly SameSite Lax, remember-session, and a logout option.

4. User Profiles

• Display Name, Bio, Avatar: Pseudonymous, optional, can be changed anytime.
• Discovery: Opt-in to appear in discovery; hide via Settings → Privacy → Disable discovery.
• Blocking Users: Block in one tap, prevents messaging, tipping, discovery; reversible via Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users.
• Reporting Users: Report for harassment, spam, fraud, child safety, privacy violation, IP infringement; review within 4 hours safety, 24 hours others.

5. Wallet & Payments

Wallet Recharge

• Methods: UPI, cards, net banking (India), Stripe internationally where available.
• Minimum ₹50 or $1, maximum ₹50,000 or $600 per transaction, subject to processor limits and fraud prevention.
• Funds credited instantly, receipts via email and Wallet → History.

Paid Messaging & Tips

• Tips voluntary, non-refundable, supporting creator economy: 80% creator, 20% platform fee.
• Paid messaging: Creator sets price per DM, user pays from wallet, transparent pricing in profile per Payment Terms.
• Payouts: Minimum $10 or ₹800, 24-48 hours, KYC above ₹50,000 or $600/month where required per Wallet Policy.

6. Paid Messaging

Paid messaging allows creators to monetize anonymous interactions while filtering spam:

• Creator sets price per DM, e.g., ₹20-₹500, via Profile → Creator Tools.
• User pays from wallet; access includes one thread; additional messages may require new payment per creator settings.
• Blocking after paid message does not trigger refund; use reporting for abuse per Safety Policy and Payment Terms.

7. Premium Features

• Premium may include priority support, enhanced privacy controls, custom themes, faster edge routing.
• Monthly or annual, cancellable anytime, refundable within 7 days if unused per Refund Policy.
• Internal advertisements promote premium: Upgrade to Premium, Invite Friends, Creator Tools, marked Sponsored, controlled via future admin panel, no Google Ads.

8. Advertisements

Funtoosh uses internal text-based promotional advertisements, not Google Ads or third-party ads. Three ad sections on landing: below Hero, between Features and Privacy/Security, above Footer. Each section has carousel with 3 featured advertisements, infinite loop, auto rotation every 5 seconds, swipe/drag, pause internally, no pause UI, premium rounded card, soft border, Sponsored badge, title, description, CTA button, responsive, brand-matched.

Future: Unlimited ads per section from Admin Panel, no UI redesign, only data source changes.

9. Safety & Content Moderation

• Safety Tools: Block and report in one tap, disappearing messages, hide from discovery, screenshot alerts, DM filters, wallet limits, keyword filters for creators.
• Content Moderation: No pre-scanning of encrypted private messages; moderation for reported messages, public profiles, and internal ads.
• Abuse Detection: Heuristics on metadata only, spam detection, fraud prevention, security monitoring 24/7.
• Account Suspension: Warning → mute → discovery removal → suspension → permanent termination per Account Suspension & Termination Policy, with appeal.

10. Privacy & Security

• Privacy Protection: No advertising trackers, essential cookies only, no phone number needed, no behavioural profiling — per Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
• Security Monitoring: Encryption X25519 + XSalsa20-Poly1305, AES-256-GCM at rest, secure headers HSTS, CSP, XSS, secure cookies, 2FA optional via TOTP, withdrawal whitelist, device binding, anomaly detection per Security Page.
• Data Retention: Account until deletion, messages max 24h relay queue then wiped, wallet hashed ledger up to 7 years where required per Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

11. Future Roadmap

• Phase 1 (Current): Premium landing, header with premium gradient brand, theme, language, Android app, wallet foundation, policy pages, internal ad carousel infinite loop fix, authentication module (email + password / Google, optional 2FA) + dashboard.
• Phase 2: Anonymous messaging core, inbox, discovery, profiles, creator wallet payouts, enhanced blocking/reporting.
• Phase 3: Voice calls, group anonymous chats, creator analytics, admin panel for ads.
• Phase 4: Non-custodial wallet, desktop apps, expanded transparency reporting.

13. User Responsibilities

• Follow Community Guidelines, Content Policy, Acceptable Use, User Conduct, and Safety Policy for respectful anonymous communication.
• Keep your account password and 2FA codes secure, use blocking and reporting for safety, and understand wallet recharge and paid messaging per Wallet Policy and Payment Terms.

14. Platform Responsibilities

• Provide anonymous messaging, secure login (email + password / Google with optional 2FA), wallet, privacy protection, security monitoring, content moderation for reported content, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and spam detection.
• Maintain transparent policies, Trust & Safety, Transparency Page, and clear guidance on how Platform works with future-ready wording for group chats, calls, and non-custodial wallet.
