Effective: July 31, 2026Last updated: July 31, 2026Encrypted in transit & at rest

1. How do I create an account without phone number?

Funtoosh uses email + password or Google sign-in (no phone number). Go to /signup, enter Full Name, Email Address and a password, or tap "Sign in with Google". On success you are taken to the dashboard. No email codes are sent — to prove you own your email you simply sign in with Google, which places a tick next to it.

2. What if I lose access to my email?

Your account is tied to the email or Google account you signed up with. If you lose access, contact [email protected] with full name, last login, and wallet transaction ID if applicable. We verify via an alternative method and help recover. Keep your email, password and authenticator app secure.

3. Can I have multiple accounts or personas?

One primary account per person, plus up to 2 additional personas for privacy, provided they are not used to evade blocks, bans, or spam detection per Account Suspension Policy. Creating multiple accounts to farm wallet bonuses or spam is prohibited per Anti-Spam Policy.

4. How do I delete my account?

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account → Confirm with your account password (and 2FA code if enabled). Local keys wiped immediately, public key queued for deletion within 7 days, wallet hashed ledger retained where required for fraud prevention up to 7 years per Data Retention & Deletion Policy. Deletion is irreversible.

5. How does Funtoosh Wallet work?

Wallet is internal ledger for wallet recharge, paid messaging, tips, and premium features. Recharge via UPI, cards, net banking (India) or Stripe (international). Funds credited instantly. Tips and paid messages: 80% to creator, 20% platform fee for infrastructure, fraud prevention, and support. Minimum payout $10 or ₹800, 24-48h processing, KYC above ₹50,000 or $600/month where required per Wallet Policy.

6. What is wallet recharge and how to do it?

Wallet recharge adds funds to your Funtoosh Wallet. Go to Wallet → Recharge → Enter amount (min ₹50 or $1, max ₹50,000 or $600 per transaction) → Choose method UPI/cards/net banking/Stripe → Confirm. Funds credited instantly, receipt via email and Wallet → History. Failed recharge auto-refunded within 24h per Refund Policy.

7. What are paid messages and how do they work?

Creators can set price per DM (e.g., ₹20–₹500) via Profile → Creator Tools. User pays from wallet to access one thread. Pricing must be transparent in profile per Payment Terms and Community Guidelines. Blocking after paid message does not trigger refund; use reporting for abuse per Safety Policy.

8. Are tips refundable?

Tips and paid messages are voluntary and non-refundable by design to protect creator economy per Refund Policy. If sent by mistake, request mediation within 1 hour via Wallet → Transactions → Request Mediation; creator can voluntarily refund from balance. Duplicate charges refundable within 7 days.

9. Is Funtoosh really anonymous?

You are anonymous to other users, not to Funtoosh. No phone number is required, and the person you answer cannot see who you are unless you reveal yourself. But you sign in with email or Google, we hold the encryption keys, and we keep operational and moderation logs — see the Transparency Report. No system provides complete anonymity against advanced adversaries, device compromise, legal process, or your own disclosure.

10. What data do you collect?

Only the minimum: your email, an optional full name, a public key for encryption, a hashed wallet ledger where required for fraud prevention, essential cookies (theme, language, session), and aggregated, anonymized performance metrics. We never collect your phone number, exact location, contacts, message content, or tracking cookies — see the Privacy Policy and the Data Retention Policy.

11. How is my data protected?

Encryption: X25519 + XSalsa20-Poly1305 and AES-256-GCM, forward secrecy, disappearing messages, screenshot alerts. Data at rest: AES-256, wallet 90% cold storage. Secure cookies HttpOnly SameSite Lax, TLS 1.2+, security headers HSTS, CSP, XSS protection, security monitoring 24/7 per Security Page. See also Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. How does anonymous messaging work?

Choose a username, no phone number required, sign in with email + password or Google. Content is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest on our database; Funtoosh holds the keys and is not end-to-end encrypted. DM filters, block/report in one tap, hide from discovery. See How Funtoosh Works for the detailed flow.

13. Can I unsend or edit messages?

Currently, you can delete messages locally and set disappearing timer for future messages. Edit is not yet implemented to preserve authenticity and encryption integrity. Future roadmap includes edit with version history. For now, use disappearing messages and double-check before sending.

14. What happens if someone screenshots my message?

Where OS allows, we show screenshot detection alert notifying sender. This is awareness, not enforcement. Do not share sensitive information even with disappearing messages. Use blocking and reporting for misuse per Safety Policy and Content Policy.

15. How do I block someone?

Long-press message → Block → Confirm. Blocking immediately prevents that user from messaging, tipping, paid messaging, or discovering you. Blocked user does not know they are blocked explicitly, but cannot interact. Manage blocked list via Settings → Privacy → Blocked Users. Blocking is reversible.

16. How do I report a user or content?

Long-press message or go to profile → Report → Select reason: harassment, spam, fraud, child safety, privacy violation, IP infringement, etc. Or email [email protected] with message ID, username, timestamp, evidence. Review SLA: 4 hours safety-related, 24 hours others. Reporter identity not disclosed. Appeals within 30 days via [email protected] per Transparency Page.

17. What happens after I report someone?

Trained moderator reviews reported content against Content Policy, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use, User Conduct, Safety Policy. Actions: warning, temporary mute 24h-7d, discovery removal 7-30d, wallet restriction, suspension 7-30d, permanent termination for severe. You are notified of action where feasible without revealing private moderation details. Enforcement logged anonymously in Transparency Page.

18. Can blocked user still see my profile or contact me via another account?

Blocked user cannot discover you or message you from blocked account. However, creating alternate accounts to evade block (ban evasion) violates Account Suspension Policy and results in permanent termination of all accounts. Report ban evasion via [email protected].

19. How do payouts work for creators?

Minimum payout $10 or ₹800 equivalent. Processing 24-48h for verified creators, instant for trusted below $500 where available. Methods: bank transfer (India, US, EU, Brazil), PayPal, future USDC where compliant. KYC optional below ₹50,000 or $600/month, mandatory above via third-party provider per Wallet Policy, data per Privacy Policy, not shared with community.

21. How do I enable disappearing messages?

In chat, tap header → Disappearing messages → Choose timer: 10 seconds, 1 minute, 1 hour, 24 hours (default), 7 days, 30 days. Applies to future messages in thread. Both participants can set timer where allowed. Messages auto-wiped locally and from relay queue after timer and delivery.

22. What are these Sponsored advertisements?
