Anti-Spam Policy

Keeping anonymous messaging clean. No bulk unsolicited messages, no wallet spam, no discovery manipulation.

Effective: July 31, 2026Last updated: July 31, 2026Encrypted in transit & at rest

1. Introduction

Funtoosh is designed for meaningful private conversations, not bulk spam. This Anti-Spam Policy defines what constitutes spam across anonymous messaging, user wallet, wallet recharge, paid messaging, user profiles, blocking, reporting, advertisements, and discovery. It complements Acceptable Use Policy, Content Policy, and User Conduct Policy.

2. Definitions

  • Spam: Unsolicited, bulk, repetitive, or deceptive content or actions intended to disrupt, manipulate, or extract value.
  • Anonymous Messaging Spam: Bulk unsolicited DMs, repetitive messages, or harassment after block.
  • Wallet Spam: Fake tips, tip farming, or wallet recharge abuse to manipulate creator earnings.
  • Discovery Spam: Manipulating user profiles or discovery to appear multiple times or mislead.

3. Prohibited Spam Activities

  1. Sending same or substantially similar anonymous messages to many users who did not request them.
  2. Creating multiple accounts to evade blocks, bans, or rate limits (ban evasion).
  3. Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to send messages or create accounts without permission.
  4. Wallet spam: Sending tiny tips repeatedly to farm activity, or fake wallet recharge claims.
  5. Discovery spam: Creating multiple profiles with same bio/avatar to dominate discovery.
  6. Advertisement spam: Posting promotional content via DMs or profiles outside approved creator tools and internal ads.
  7. Paid messaging spam: Offering paid DMs then failing to deliver or bait-and-switch per Payment Terms.

4. Anonymous Messaging Spam

  • Limit: New accounts limited to 20 new conversations per hour, 100 per day (subject to adjustment) to prevent bulk spam.
  • After block, you may not contact that user via alternate persona; this is harassment and ban evasion.
  • Disappearing messages do not exempt spam rules; bulk still prohibited.

5. Wallet Spam & Fraud Prevention

  • Fake tips to inflate creator metrics, then requesting refund, is prohibited per Wallet Policy and Refund Policy.
  • Wallet recharge abuse: Using stolen cards, chargeback fraud, or money laundering triggers fraud prevention and suspension per Account Suspension Policy.
  • Tip farming via collusion between accounts to farm bonuses is prohibited.

6. Discovery & Profile Spam

  • Do not create multiple profiles with identical bios to dominate discovery.
  • Do not use misleading avatars or bios that impersonate others or misrepresent age, location, or intent.
  • Discovery opt-in is optional; spamming discovery with frequent profile edits to stay on top is prohibited.

7. Advertisement Spam

Internal advertisements (Upgrade to Premium, Invite Friends, Creator Tools) are managed via future admin panel and marked Sponsored. User-posted ads via DMs or profiles are prohibited except via approved creator tools. Reporting misleading internal ads via Safety Policy.

8. Spam Detection

We use privacy-preserving detection:

  • Rate limiting for Email OTP login, message sending, wallet recharge, and discovery edits.
  • Automated heuristics over content and metadata (word lists, posting frequency). Matches are logged for human review.
  • Abuse detection and security monitoring for anomalous patterns.
  • Community reports via blocking users and reporting users features.

9. Prevention Tools for Users

  • DM filters: Unknown senders to requests folder.
  • Block and report in one tap, auto-block list import/export for creators.
  • Wallet limits and paid DMs to filter low-effort spam.
  • Hide from discovery to reduce unsolicited messages.

10. Enforcement

  • Warning → Temporary mute (24h-7d) → Discovery removal → Suspension → Permanent ban for repeat spam.
  • Severe spam (botnets, fraud) → immediate permanent ban.
  • Transparency: Spam enforcement logged anonymously in Transparency Page reports.
  • Appeals within 30 days via [email protected], separate team reviews.

11. User Responsibilities

  • Send only consensual, relevant anonymous messages; respect blocks and boundaries.
  • Do not create multiple accounts to evade limits or farm wallet bonuses.
  • Report spam via in-app reporting, not via public shaming.
  • Keep Email OTP secure and do not share session.

12. Platform Responsibilities

  • Provide spam detection, abuse detection, fraud prevention, rate limiting, and security monitoring while preserving encryption.
  • Maintain content moderation for reported spam, Trust & Safety education, and transparent enforcement via Transparency Page.
  • Ensure wallet, paid messaging, and advertisements operate without spam manipulation.
